People who inspired you (and how): My parents - as members of the "Greatest Generation" and all three of my children who saw or see great opportunity and serve others, great leaders such as Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Ghandi, scientists such as Albert Einstein, Jonas Salk, writers, musicians and actors and the men and women of our Armed Forces, past and present. All provide the spirit and example of dedication to excellence.

How you have contributed to the community: Volunteer soccer coach for hundreds of young athletes over ten years, Boy Scout teacher, Church Elder and volunteer, numerous years of service to neighborhood and community, to college and Bar Association, non profit groups, school parent organizations, and numerous other worthy causes.

What are the biggest issues facing your constituency now: The lack of consensus on priority of, and solutions for, issues related to quality of life, education, wellness, individual freedom and responsibility, honesty and openness in our government at all levels, respect for individuals and our institutions, and global economic and social challenges of the future.
