42nd Annual Colorado Fall Charity Horse Show
The Rocky Mountain Horse Show Association is sponsoring a horse show for the benefit of the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the well being of people with disabilities through interaction with a therapeutic team consisting of a horse, an instructor or therapist, and volunteers.
The 42nd annual Colorado Fall Charity Horse Show, to be held September 7 through 9, 2007 at the National Western Events Center, is an all-breed open show featuring Halter, English, Hunter, Western, Driving, Equitation, and fun classes. New to the schedule this year will be Opportunity classes in which the riders do not have to be members of the breed associations in order to participate. This year the show will award a minimum of $200 in additional prize money to the champion and reserve champion in each championship class. Breeds that will be participating in the show are Arabians, Half-Arabians, American Saddlebreds, Quarter Horses, Hackney Ponies and National Show Horses.
Admission is free for spectators, and donations will be accepted for the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center. Spectators are invited to visit the warm-up and stabling areas. Refreshments are available on the show grounds.
