South High School student wins $10,000 scholarship


Your BBB Serving Denver/Boulder is happy to present the 3rd Annual Student of Integrity Scholarship to Sandria Vernon of South High School.

This scholarship program seeks to provide a student who has demonstrated character, leadership and ethical values with the opportunity to continue his or her education beyond high school in Colorado.

Sandria Vernon is a self-motivated student with a concentration in accelerated courses and truly recognizes and values the rewards of learning. She is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the National Society for High School Scholars and maintains a 4.0 GPA. She volunteers at Children's Hospital as well as numerous other healthcare facilities. She is most proud of her work with Young Fire Group, where she has the opportunity to work with struggling youth. Sandria will attend a private liberal arts college next fall to pursue her goal of becoming a Clinical Pathologist.

Your BBB would also like to congratulate the three Finalists for the Student of Integrity Scholarship.

Zeenat Schultz, a student at Bishop Machebeuf High School, will receive a $5,000 scholarship.She is interested in business and fashion design and plans on attending Colorado State University or University of Denver.

Danielle Charron, a student at Ranum High School, will receive a $500 honorarium. After high school Danielle plans to earn an Associates Degree in Acting and a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts at Colorado Institute.

Bao Nguyen, a student at Arvada High School, will receive a $500 honorarium. She plans on becoming a doctor and majoring in Biology at Regis University.
