Michael, 8, is a sweet boy who loves to play outside on the playground.
Michael attends the second grade and with the help of computers, is able to get most of his needs met. He participates in school activities to the best of his ability. A technology lover, Michael has fun playing on the computers and uses certain computer programs to help meet his educational and recreational needs. He attends physical, occupational and speech therapies through his school. Michael has been working hard and is improving his verbal skills. Even though he has moderate developmental disabilities, this little boy is determined to make it and is learning to communicate more to get his needs met.
Michael has a strong sense of determination and can be an independent thinker. Adults who supervise him will find him to be quick to take control of a situation. Michael is learning to share with others and when prompted, is willing to offer his favorite toy to a friend. It is unknown as to whether Michael will be able to live independently as an adult.
All families wishing to provide Michael with the permanence that he needs will be considered. He must be the youngest or only child in the home. Michael would like to keep a connection with his current foster family.
