The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver kicked off its second annual summer lunchtime lecture series on Thursday, June 5. Free and open to the public, the weekly lunch series occurs every Thursday from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. and takes place at Skyline Park (16th and Arapahoe streets), directly behind the clock tower on the 16th St. Mall in downtown Denver.
The June 5 event featured Professor
Herman Sievering of the Geography and Environmental Sciences department, who talked about climate change and greenhouse gases and his contribution to the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize that was awarded to the Intergovenmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and
Al Gore.
