Looking for relief on the way
back from work on Bike to Work Day?
Denver Water will sponsor a morning and evening station along the South Platte trail in Frog Hollow Park, near the intersection of Zuni and 8th Avenue for Bike to Work Day on June 24. Denver Water is the only participant to provide an evening station to bikers completing the second half of their commute - making sure bikers have a place to rest from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and again from 3:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Both stations will offer free water, bike tuning, Cliff Bar products, GoFast! energy drinks and a great excuse to catch your breath!
The morning station will serve high-quality Denver water from the Denver Water Trailer, an eco-friendly water source that has made appearances at events throughout Denver (imagine a U-Haul trailer that holds 200 gallons of chilled water dispensed from taps on either side). The morning station also will provide free coffee and bagels donated by Bruegger's Bagels for those commuters needing an extra boost - and maybe a longer break. For the trek home, the afternoon station will provide free Denver water in reusable bottles that bikers can use for their next commute. Several fitness-friendly donors helped to help make the Denver Water station a hot spot to make a stop - for free water
and energy-boosting snack fare, this is not a station to pedal past!
Denver Water aims to keep the Bike to Work Day participants hydrated, healthy and home in one piece!
