October is synonymous with breast cancer awareness, and Hard Rock Cafe Denver is encouraging consumers to think pink with the brand's Pinktober philanthropic program which gives patrons the opportunity to rock out and support the fight against breast cancer.
During the month of October, Hard Rock Cafe Denver will feature three special merchandise items; Hard Rock's Pinktober pin, the ninth in a series supporting breast cancer awareness; Pinktober black ladies T-shirt and Pinktober keychain; with a portion of the proceeds from each benefiting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
In addition, residents can show their support for the Denver Metropolitan Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure when Hard Rock Cafe Denver hosts a special performance by emerging artist
Jon McLaughlin on October 1 benefiting this worthy local charity.
McLaughlin has toured with several top musicians, such as
Kelly Clarkson,
Paolo Nutini,
Sara Bareilles and will headline several shows in October at Hard Rock locations nationwide as part of Hard Rock's Pinktober program. He has also recorded songs for popular movies, including
Bridge to Terabithia,
Georgia Rule and
Enchanted, and was invited to perform at the 80th Academy Awards in January.
While enjoying the music, patrons can sip on Hard Rock's signature Pink Drinks whose proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research. Fans can also bid to win a Pink Fender guitar autographed by Disturbed, Mastodon, Atreyu, Rose Hill Drive,
Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, Charlotte Sometimes and Jon McLaughlin, with proceeds benefiting the Denver Metropolitan Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
