What is that smell on I-25?
Contributed by: Alexandra Friedman on 11/1/2007

I know you have smelled it.

What is that smell on I-25 about a mile north of I-70? IThe smell usually occurs at about 5:45pm when I am coming back from work, and no, I know it is not the dog food maker, that smells better than this and I still might try a bite if you dared me to.

This smell, this smell... This smell reminds me of burnt plastic with rubber and toxic dramatic mush like a horrific scene from An Inconvenient Truth. I will drive right past the Wonder Bread Factory and wish I could smell the sweetness of fresh fake fluffy bread, but instead I am ran over by this smell that takes over my lungs and slightly burns my nostrils...

I tried to be a reporter and do a little research to try to find a pattern of some sort... When does the smell start, when does it stop, how many miles away is the smell coming from and why wont the smell get the car riding on my butt behind me to BACK OFF!?

So Dot, give it to me, what is that smell?
