Caribou Coffee to Honor Voided Starbucks Coupons

On September 8, Caribou Coffee is honoring coupons that Starbucks declared void this week.
Caribou said Friday that it would give free medium Cold Press iced coffee, iced Americano or iced tea on Friday Sept. 8 to anyone presenting one of the Starbucks iced coffee coupon that has been widely circulated on the Internet.
Starbucks late on Tuesday withdrew a free iced coffee offer first sent on Aug. 23 via e-mail to employees in the U.S. Southeast. The email instructed the employees to forward the offer to family and friends, but Starbucks said in a press release that the offer "has been redistributed beyond the original intent and modified beyond Starbucks' control."
Caribou's intent for the promotion is to get customers to try its cold press ice coffee, which is made by steeping coffee in cold water for 12 hours, rather than taking regularly brewed coffee and pouring it over ice.
Caribou, which has 416 locations in 16 states and the District of Columbia, said it will honor the Starbucks coupons from noon until the close of business on Sept. 8.
