What is the poor health of your employees costing your company in absenteeism, lost productivity and bottom line dollars? Four local wellness experts have a plan to help. The four women have formed the
WELLthy by Choice Team to offer a unique, multi-faceted program designed to get employees excited about living a healthier lifestyle.
WELLthy by Choice Team Coordinator is Victoria Torok. Passionate about fitness her whole life, Torok left the sales and marketing industry two years ago at age 59 to become a personal trainer and start
Elite Mobile Fitness, a personal training service that comes to the home or office of each client.
"Many of my clients asked about other health-related services so I began to develop a wellness team of experienced, reputable providers," Torok explains. "Then, we had the idea to take the whole wellness team into a company or community to educate its employees/members about how important health is to achieve and maintain."
The WELLthy by Choice Team members include: Rhonda Bolich-Lampo, a Certified Nutrition Advisor and owner of The
WELLthy People, a health and wellness business located in Highlands Ranch; Susan Kimball, a Holistic Health Counselor (including nutrition counseling and life coaching), Certified Advanced PSYCH-K® Facilitator and owner of
Balanced Health Counseling in Denver; and Ashley Greninger, owner of
Lotus Heart Posture Alignment, Inc. in the DTC. Greninger is a Certified Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Therapist, Certified Posture Alignment Specialist and Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist.
The four team members have developed a series of Fast Track Seminars and Classes to assist employers with educating and inspiring their employees to have a healthier lifestyle. Employers can select as many of the on-site or off-site programs as they want to meet their workplace goals. Dynamic seminars and classes include such topics as Exercise 101, Living to 150, Pain Free at Your Computer, Functional Strength, Love Your Heart and Stress Busters. Cost for each class is $200 with class capacity based on the space available at the employer's workplace.
"This is unlike any other corporate wellness program because our system includes education on the essential core elements of nutrition and supplementation, exercise, ergonomics and posture, and mind-body integration," Torok says.
"The WELLthy by Choice Team offers an ROI-based solution," Torok explains. "It has been proven that the healthier an employer's workforce, the more positively the bottom line is impacted." An article in the "American Journal of Preventive Medicine" showed that employers who invest in wellness programs can see a return of $3 to $5 (300-500 percent) for every dollar invested over a two- to five-year period. Documented savings are seen in medical costs, absenteeism, worker's comp claims, short-term disability and presenteeism (lower on-the-job efficiency due to employee health problems).
A Community WELLth Outreach Program also is offered by the WELLthy by Choice Team to help community members get excited about living a healthier lifestyle, take action and get results.
