Purple Avocado Catering is pleased to introduce Barbara Plaskow as its new General Manager. Barbara developed a passion for fine food and wine while working in restaurants, to support her young acting and directing career in Southern California Theatre. After discovering that she had a talent for cooking, Barbara put her Theatre career on the back burner and dove headfirst into the art of preparation and service of fine food.

Over the years, Barbara has studied under Alice Waters (Chez Panisse), Narsai David (Narsais Restaurant). She has catered meals for Superstars like The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. Barbara's career in the Culinary Arts has taken her from Berkeley, California to Paris, France, New York, Boulder and now Denver, Colorado.

After falling in love with French cuisine, including the delectable cheeses, braising, sauces, desserts and the wines of the regions while living in Paris and working under some of the best chefs, caterers, and restaurateurs in the world, Barbara now brings her wealth of experience to Purple Avocado Catering, one of Denver's Premiere catering companies.
