New Agency Draws on 100 Years of Experience to Provide Personal Home Care
DENVER - March 27, 2008 - Jewish Family Service of Colorado, a human services agency serving more than 22,000 people each year regardless of faith or economic status in the Denver metro area, has launched JFS at Home, an in-home care agency providing support and services to help seniors and those with chronic illnesses live safe, healthy, independent lives in the comfort of their own homes. JFS at Home has nearly 30 highly skilled, certified caregivers on staff to provide customized personal care assistance, homemaker services, and medical care referrals to those in the Denver metro area.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, seniors are one of the fastest growing demographic groups in Colorado. The Bureau projects that by 2030 more than 540,000 people in Colorado will be over the age of 65. JFS at Home was established to provide the growing population of seniors in Colorado the services and resources they need to maintain their quality of life within their own homes.
JFS at Home provides personal care assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, eating, and walking. The agency also provides homemaker services, including light housekeeping, laundry, cooking, shopping and errands, and companionship. JFS at Home customizes care plans to meet its clients' specific needs such as full- or part-time, long- or short-term, live-in or live-out care. JFS at Home provides services on a private-pay basis only. Prospective clients can also check if services are covered by their long-term care plans. JFS at Home does not accept Medicare and Medicaid.
