One of the Denver Broncos' newest players, Defensive End Tim Crowder, had a busy day under the hot Colorado sun on Tuesday July 17 th while shooting a Public Service Announcement for the Food Bank of East Texas. The spot was taped at the Denver Broncos Boys & Girls Club.

For Crowder, who played for the University of Texas Longhorns, working under the hot sun is nothing new. He said that not only is Austin Texas hotter, it's also a lot more humid. He says he definitely likes the Colorado climate.

Crowder started all 13 of the Longhorn Games during their Championship Season and was voted to First Team All Big 12. He was known as the "quiet leader" of the Longhorn defense. You can learn more about him on the Broncos Website.

For the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver kids, it was an opportunity to have fun with a member of their sponsoring team, and the kids enjoyed playing a pick-up game of football while the cameras rolled. Before the shoot, Crowder also spent time in the Gym playing basketball with some of the kids.

The reason they shot the spot here in Denver instead of Texas was due to scheduling issues, so the folks at Food Bank of East Texas coordinated with a local crew and the Denver Broncos Boys & Girls Club to shoot here instead.

Crowder is a native of Tyler, Texas and was a stand-out player for the Longhorns while at UT . He certainly looks to be one of the new and bright stars of the Denver Broncos.

So while there is a different hue of orange on the uniform, Tim Crowder says he'll approach the professional game with the same intensity he did in college. And he's especially looking forward to playing against his former QB at Texas, Vince Young, when the Tennessee Titans play the Broncos in Denver on November 19 th. And oh yes,it's a Monday Night game!
