DenverWorks is a faith-based nonprofit organization that operates through the generosity of the community. It is by the financial support of individuals, corporations, and foundations that enables DenverWorks to meet the growing demand for job readiness and placement services in today's tough economy. The staff, directors, and client managers, extend a heartfelt invitation to the community for financial assistance.
"We challenge you to consider donating your resources to DenverWorks--whether it be time, clothing, or money. An investment of just $175 will support one client with jobseeker training, individual career counseling and job referrals," said Sandy K. Blaylock, Executive Director, "You can change a life forever."
Since 1995 DenverWorks has provided workshops and individual counseling to people facing barriers to employment. Barriers include homelessness, criminal records, lack of education, lack of job skills, and other challenges. Clients receive job search strategies, resume writing, career counseling, and interviewing practices. Other services provided by DenverWorks include Women@Work and Men@Work professional clothing closets, a computer lab, referrals to other area agencies, and Spanish speaking case managers.
Donations can be made on line, by mail, or in person. DenverWorks is located at 2828 Speer Blvd #103 in Denver. To help or to acquire more information visit the website
