On Wednesday April 9, the public is invited to a free
Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Career Day at Arapahoe Community College from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This fantastic networking event will be held on the first floor of the main building in the dining room, located at 5900 South Santa Fe Drive in Littleton.
Law enforcement and criminal justice agencies from across Colorado and beyond will be present to meet today's job seekers. This will include sheriff and police departments and public and private organizations that work with those within the criminal justice system. The public as well as ACC Police Academy and Criminal Justice students are encouraged to attend this special event to network with several potential employers that are conveniently located in one place. Anyone who has an interest is welcome to attend this free event and learn more about the law enforcement industry.
"Year after year, we see many people who are seeking criminal justice and law enforcement careers, meet their future employer at this event," explains ACC Police Chief Dennis Goodwin, who oversees Arapahoe Community College's Police Academy. "We're looking forward to helping many more employers and job seekers connect on April 9." Additionally, The Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) will be administering the COPS test.
The Law Enforcement Academy at Arapahoe Community College provides an intensive course of study which prepares students for entry into the law enforcement profession. The program focuses on all of the basic law enforcement job functions that are required for entry level law enforcement officers - from driving skills and making arrests to safe use of firearms and processing crime scenes. ACC's Criminal Justice program offers you the flexibility of two degree options: the
Associate of Applied Science Degree and the
Associate of General Studies.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes which they may exchange for agency business cards at the event. For more information contact Stefanie Mackey at 303.797.5793.
