New Kiwanis Club Organizes in Cherry Creek to Make a Difference for Children and
the Community

DENVER...April 28, 2006...A new Kiwanis club is organizing in Cherry Creek and is encouraging community leaders to become part of the global organization of volunteers "dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time." The club will further the Kiwanis International mission of responding to global issues while also serving the needs of the Cherry Creek community by
performing valuable service projects.

The new Kiwanis Club of Cherry Creek will focus on service projects benefiting the Cherry Creek/Glendale community, specifically focusing on helping children. Possible activities include revitalizing neighborhoods, organizing youth-sports/safety programs, keeping parks clean and working with local hospitals and schools. The club is currently seeking motivated members of the community to help organize and participate in service projects.

"We understand the changing needs of today's busy volunteers and encourage members to give time on their own terms while contributing to notable causes and meaningful projects," said Beau Ballinger, president of Kiwanis Club of Cherry Creek. "We hope that individuals from all walks of life will join the club to help make a difference in the community and to have a great time doing it."

The Kiwanis Club of Cherry Creek meets every Thursday at 7 a.m. MDT in the Cherry Creek area. For details on joining the Kiwanis Club of Cherry Creek, or for more information about Kiwanis International, please contact Beau Ballinger
