Sex author shares secrets with singles book club
Contributed by: Jennifer Oikle, Ph.D. on 2/14/2007

If you are dating, then you know that the topic of sex is a minefield! Trying to figure out when, where, what, with whom...how do you make smart choices about your sex life that help you build the relationship you want- not just a one-night stand? And once you are actually dating, how do you get what you really want in bed- a fantastic time for both of you! Those are some of the topics local author Mary Jo Fay, will explore when she joins the Savvy Singles Book Club for their February meeting.

"Sex is tricky. Everyone wants to have a good time, but it's easy to drop your guard and become physically involved too quickly with a new suitor. Once you do that, you are vulnerable to leaving with a broken heart," says book club organizer, dating coach, and psychologist Jennifer Oikle, Ph.D.

"That's why we invited local author Mary Jo Fay to come share some secrets from her book Please Dear, Not Tonight: The Truth About Women and Sex. We really want singles to feel empowered about sex. To figure out what's right for them and to have the conviction to stick to their values once out on a date."

"Sex can be a wonderful thing, but when we make poor choices, it also has the power to bring a lot of misery!, " quipped author Mary Jo Fay. She's excited about the opportunity to shed some light on this controversial topic.

"Our goal for this meeting is for men to leave with keys on how to please your woman, and women to leave with tips on how to get the pleasure you deserve," advised Oikle. "We're hoping area singles will come away with clear ideas on how to turn dating from a minefield into an adventure!"

The February meeting of the Savvy Singles Book Club is Monday February 18th, 7-9pm at Scooter Joe's Coffee, 726 Lincoln St. , Denver , CO 80203, 303-813-9500. $5.
