This is an update on my previous story titled "A Mother's Search For Her Grown Daughter's Father."
I sent Trinidad a letter on the 29th of August. It was a letter pleading with her to help me to locate her son so I could tell him about his daughter. I sent photos to her to personalize the letter, and to show her what her granddaughter looks like. I sent them also to assure them that she is his daughter. She looks a lot like him. I have sent letters previously begging her to allow me to get in touch with Frank, but to no avail. I got the letter back today, unopened.
I realize that 36+ years ago, I was immature and self-centered. I have changed. I am now a Christian (I was in a cult back then). I'm trying my best to make amends to my daughter and her father. Trinidad claims (or at least she did 35+ years ago) to be a Christian. I really doubt that Christ would be happy with her right now. He said to forgive. Actually, I don't care if SHE forgives me or not. My concern is for her son and her granddaughter. She isn't even giving her son a chance to make his own decision on whether he'd like to have contact with his daughter or not. She's also not giving her own granddaughter a chance by at least attempting to try to get to know her. I can understand her being angry at me, but not at her innocent granddaughter.
It must be nice for Trinidad to have never made mistakes in life, to be so unforgiving and judgmental towards others that have.
Tonya would be more than willing to supply DNA if they want physical proof that she's Frank's daughter. There is
NO
doubt in my mind that she's his.
My only choice now is to show up at her house one day soon. I'm asking anyone that knows her to inform her of my plans to visit her.
I was really hoping to resolve this through a phone call, letter, or email, but since she returned the letter I sent, she leaves me no other choice. I have stated that I will NOT give up until I hear FRANK tell me that he doesn't want to have contact with Tonya. Since I have a really hard time believing that he's that type of person (he's a good, caring man),
I'll do what I have to, to inform him myself. Even if that includes a visit.
So,
if she doesn't want me at her door, or in Denver, tracking down her son, she needs to get in touch with me.
I'm starting to get angry about the whole thing. At first I felt guilty (still do), then I was frustrated.
