This isn't an election, it's a Carnival!
By Stan Dyer
Please excuse me if I needed a break to catch my breath and dry off before jumping back into the pool of insanity surrounding the upcoming presidential election. Well, the fun is over, I'm back and the doors of discovery were not open long before my eyes popped right out of my head. I am back on the letter writing campaign and uncovering some very interesting information that I am compelled to amuse you all with. Please excuse my indiscretion and try to keep an open mind.
Since beginning this letter campaign, I received many responses. Unfortunately, most of them were from the same man. As a result, I am now limiting my letter campaign to email whenever possible and snail mail only as a last result. This time I uncovered three interesting candidates and one of them actually has a positive message. His name is Lanakila Washington, and he is the presidential candidate of the Humanistic Party.
It is no surprise that Mr. Washington is both his party's candidate, and its founder. He believes in "...creating fortune for all Americans and making America a land of music, culture and education". The stated platform is, "Community first, based on peace, culture, education and humanism". In his own words:
Lanakila Washington feels that it's all about taking action to create fortune for all Americans, based on policies that work. Securing future savings for all Americans will strengthen the economy, lower the deficit, save social security and protect health care.
It's a win-win situation for the people of our government. This is what America ought to be about. The dream of prosperity can become a reality in more peoples' lives when we take a stand for what we believe in.
I'm new to the arena of politics but I come with experience in creating fortune, hope, courage and confidence for the American people.
The goal of the Humanistic party is to seek out policies and laws that will honor, protect, secure and give hope to all Americans. I do not place myself to the right or to the left. I sit in the center. The focus is equality and fairness for all. I thank you for visiting us and I hope that you will join us in a movement for peace.
I emailed him with the standard letter and the standard questions. If you want to check out Mr. Washington or his party, go to
www.thirdparty08.com or email the party directly at

Next on the show is Reverend Father J. Boydston of the Constitution Party. I was particularly interested in the Constitution Party's interpretation of the Constitution and I found a couple of clues in the Party's list of it's seven principles listed below. Number five is of particular interest as is number six concerning
State's Rights. The issue of State's Rights got John C. Calhoun into big trouble with Andrew Jackson back in 1832 and almost started the Civil War then. There is no email address for either this party or its candidate, but I am sending off a letter in the mail today just to find out more. I'll let you know what happens. In the meantime, here is what the Constitution Party wants voters to know:
The Democrats and Republicans have squandered the Founders' legacy of liberty and justice under the Constitution. Countless government officials in the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government ignore their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.
Join the Constitution Party in its work to restore our government to its Constitutional limits and our law to its Biblical foundations
Seven Principles of the Constitution Party are:
1.Life: For all human beings, from conception to natural death;
2. Liberty: Freedom of conscience and actions for the self-governed individual;
3. Family: One husband and one wife with their children as divinely instituted;
4. Property: Each individual's right to own and steward personal property without government burden;
5. Constitution: and Bill of Rights interpreted according to the actual intent of the Founding Fathers;
6. States' Rights: Everything not specifically delegated by the Constitution to the federal government is reserved for the state and local jurisdictions;
7. American Sovereignty: American government committed to the protection of the borders, trade, and common defense of Americans, and not entangled
OK, folks, now step right up for the main attraction. Please be polite and remember that these guys are completely serious. I am pleased to introduce you to The Thermodynamic Law Party, (TLP), and their candidate, Doctor Doug MacDuff, PhD. The Thermodynamic Law Party claims to be 100% "
Skull and Bones" free, but may contain trace amounts of free masons. There is little information on Dr. MacDuff, and no contact information at all. If you want to look for yourself, leave your quarter at the door and go to
www.zapatopi.net/tlp/ It's a very interesting read. For the faint of heart, I have published the bulk of their platform below. Please, no small children and all must show I.D.:
·
Governance Obeys The Laws Of Thermodynamics, why would we think that our government should be any different?
·
Technology Is Our Friend But Not Our Master: It is clear that the new century will see the full blossoming of the Information Age that began in earnest with the creation of the first analog computer and the laying of the first trans-atlantic telegraph cable in the Nineteenth century.
·
Better Standards Make Better Living: In our society increasingly dependent on scientific and technological knowledge, measurement is important. As William Thomson once said:
"If you can not measure it, you can not improve it."
-
Return To Traditional Values: Although we look forward to the future, we also look back to our past. The traditional values that our nation was founded on need to be strengthened, and in some cases restored, if we wish to continue being the nation that the World looks to for inspiration.
·
Educational Reform: The decay in our nation's schools is also rooted in the Second Law. By supporting proven concepts and innovations, such as school vouchers, national testing standards, Kelvinian Meditation, and Head Start, we will be able to cause local decreases in Entropy in our education system..
·
Economic Growth The Thermodynamic Way: By supporting free trade over protectionistic policies, we will insure that our economy is an open system, thereby allowing Entropic decreases under the Second Law. According to the First Law, wealth is neither created nor destroyed, it only changes forms.
·
Defense Through Non-Entropy: The "Make Sense" approach to national defense is a pro-active one. By using Thermodynamic principles we can safeguard against negative foreign forces.
·
Energy Policies That Make Sense: Our current policies regarding energy consumption and supply are myopic.
·
Senior Citizens Are Happy Citizens: Our party values our senior citizens. We will work to insure that Medicare and Social Security are there to serve you when you are in need.
Protecting The Environment Protects Our Nation: Conservation of our physical resources is important because they are limited, as the Laws of Thermodynamics teaches us
· The Thermodynamic Law Party Stand On Radioactivity
For too long the hoax of radioactivity has been perpetrated on the American people. Money that has been spent on so-called nuclear energy and nuclear weapons -- things that are in fact pseudoscientific mumbo-jumbo -- has actually been embezzled by corrupt government officials. The Thermodynamic Law Party will seek to expose these acts of malfeasance and to bring the truth to the American public about the non-existence of radioactivity, and the many lies that have been derived from it and other anti-Thermodynamic falsehoods.
As President of the United States, I would work to make our nation better through applying the Laws of Thermodynamics to its problems. Thermodynamics orientated government offers our nation proven solutions for the difficulties that lie ahead of us in the 21st century. These solutions are both cost-effective and potent. By using Thermodynamic principles and techniques, such as scientifically validated Kelvinian Meditation, my government will preside over decreases in Entropy -- in areas as diverse as the economy, crime, and education -- as have never been seen before in the history of our nation or any other.
For too long we have relied on the fiction of radioactivity for our nation's defense. One of my first acts in office will be to call for hearings on the reality of our "nuclear defense" and the money that has been spent on it. I will also enact a special Kelvinian Meditation branch of our armed services that will bring Thermodynamic understanding to our defensive policies. This branch will also include a Kelvinic Levitation wing that will create a shield of negative Entropy around our nation making it impervious to hostile forces.
If elected, I will work with the Canadians to end the subjugation of the
Republic of Cascadia and liberate her peoples and hominoids from unjust Federal rule. I will also support the return of the
Kingdom of Hawa'ii and the seceding of Alaska to the harbor seals. Expansion is known to cause Heat Death, and by pulling back the US borders to Idaho, I will be helping to ensure the prolonging of our national energies.
I trust that you will help me help our nation. Together we can end the onslaught of Entropy and build a future for us and our children that is Thermodynamically secure.

Well, I don't know about you, but that's about all I can stand for a few more weeks. Please be sure to come back and visit often. Feel free to bring your friends, neighbors and family. The Presidential Election Carnival of 2008 has only just begun and, if the early going is any indication, it's sure to be a crowd pleaser.
