Writing Classes for Teens and 'Tweens Starting Now
Contributed by: A. Ray on 10/4/2006

Lighthouse Writers Workshop begins a new series of writing workshops this fall, at the historic Ferril House, 2123 Downing Street, Denver. Young writers 10 to 18 are invited to spend Sunday afternoons learning the craft of story writing, poetry, journalism and more. All workshops are led by working writers and include writing exercises, guided readings and discussion of the fundamentals, like developing characters, dialogue, setting and voice. Our first offering, Writing the Short Story, is scheduled for October 15 and 22, 1:00-3:30. Workshops are $35 per session, or $70 per month. Financial assistance is available.

For a full schedule of classes, visit www.lighthousewriters.org/youth.htm. Questions? Call 303-297-1185 or e-mail info@lighthousewriters.org.
