Victory breakfast -- is just that!
Contributed by: Jim White on 5/11/2006

On Monday, May 1st over 130 students from local schools gathered at Strings restaurant to celebrate the success of this year's Quarters for Kids project. Students collected quarters to pay for hot breakfasts for the children at the Volunteers of America Brandon Center for battered women and the Samaritan House.

During a fantastic breakfast prepared by Strings, the children shared how much they raised and what method of fundraising they used. Mountain States Bank kicked off the collection a month earlier with $5,000 all in quarters and KOSI radio kept up the momentum during the month of April.

Over $30,000 was raised by children-for children, indeed, a real victory for all involved. To find out how to get your student or classroom involved next year call Jim White 303-297-0408.
