Music Students Excel at Achievement Day
Contributed by: Margaret Wahl on 3/6/2008

The Foothills Music Teacher's Annual Achievement Day was held on February 2, 2008, where 160 students from 18 different music studios participated. Most students played two selections of music for evaluation by another teacher or evaluator.
Students also could have chosen from several other options for evaluation which included: taking a theory or ear training test, playing another instrument, singing a solo, performing a dance routine, playing a duet, or submitting an art project related to a musical idea.
Students received ribbons for each option they completed and they also received a certificate. Achievement Day is a very positive and fun experience for music students and encourages them in their pursuit of music.
