Next Scholar honored

The University of Northern Colorado honored a group of outstanding freshmen on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at its annual UNC's Next Scholars reception. Caitlin Johnson of Arvada was named one of UNC's Next Scholars. She was recognized for her achievements at UNC.Her achievements include a 4.0 earned during her fall semester of her freshman year and a $1000 Scholarship from the Monfort School of Business. Caitlin is a dedicated student and is working towards a degree in Business.

"Students' success during the first semester of college sets the tone for future successes," said Dean of Students Jean Schober Morrell. "It is important to recognize young scholars and hold them up as examples for the rest of campus," she said.

The reception is an annual event hosted by the Dean of Students Office and Mortar Board.
