funds for schools
Families Can Decide Which Schools Receive Their Race Entry
DENVER - Already a huge success in Hawaii, Las
Vegas and Atlanta, the Niketown 5K and NikeGo 1 Mile Kids Run/Walk
comes to Denver, and surrounding communities, encouraging activity
among youth and to raise funds for individual schools in the Denver
area.

Sunday,
May 7 th at Niketown in the Denver Pavilions.

education and playground equipment for their schools. $75,000 is
expected to be raised with 5,000 runners.
Begun in Honolulu in 2000, the success of this community event
has seen nearly $400,000 raised for O'ahu schools. The event has
been so successful in Honolulu, Nike is expanding its efforts with
inaugural runs in Las Vegas, Atlanta and Denver this year.

to keep kids healthy by providing equipment and resources that keep
them active," says Keala Peters, Regional Marketing Manager for

Denver and extending our commitment to this community."
