On Wednesday, April 4, 2007, West High School's Student Council sponsored a Silent Auction and raised $3600. This money is going to be used by several of the school's clubs expenses for upcoming events at West High School.
The graduating seniors wanted to give a Senior Gift...a mascot! How exciting to have a WHS Cowboy running around at our games! This will definitely bring out the school spirit!
The National Honor Society is sponsoring the "Extreme Make-Over: West Edition" on Saturday, April 21, 2007, from 10am-1pm. Money raised will help clean, paint, repair, plant, and provide supplies needed to make West High School a beautiful place!
Student Council is sponsoring prom and needs $10,000 for the prom costs....dj, hall rental, decorations, refreshments and mementos are not cheap these days. Student Council will be working hard continuing to raise money for this year's prom themed "Tonight's Dream...Tomorrow's Memories"
The Silent Auction not only included great items, but refreshments and entertainment were also available to liven up the event. The Mariachi and WHS Lariat Singers were wonderful!
WHS would like to give a HUGE shout-out to our generous community. If it weren't for them, this event would not have been possible!
Thank you to the following sponsors:
Oji Caliente, Racine's, Leher's, Angel Guiterrez, Cindy Rodriguez, Denver Botanic Gardens, Ballet Nouveau, Lonnie McCabe, Maggiano's, Clear Waters, Chac Art Gallery, Sophia Jewell, Ward Carter Dance Center, Denver Parks and Recreation, Six Flags, Honey Bear Gift Baskets, El Noa Noa, Bed Bath and Beyond, The Perfect Petal, Mayor Hickenlooper, Suavecito Suit Apparel, Jose Mercado, Amber Callendar, Alma Castro, Martha Gutierrez, Denver Pavilions, Colorado Avalanche, Carwash Waterworks, Antonio's Mexican Grill, Deanna Lucero, WHS Principal and Assistant Principals.
