Denver needs new representation

Diana DeGette has led the Denver metro area away from a quality, stable economy and excellence in public education. Instead she has been complicit in funding the endless war in Iraq and supporting an unsustainable increase in immigration. While she increases her influence in Washington she is losing touch with the needs of the citizens she represents.
While she has been in office she has supported, chain migration, visa lottery, unnecessary visas (these turn into visa overstays) and amnesties. She has repeatedly opposed border control and interior enforcement. Her voting record at Numbers USA, that grades congresspersons votes to reduce immigration, is F career and F recent.
She has looked the other way for special business interests that contribute to her campaign. She spends most of her time in Washington and has lost her local focus. Congresswoman DeGette is the majority whip in the house and is currently using her power to keep the immigration SAVE act 4088 from coming to the floor.
The rapidly increasing population of immigrants in the metro area has devoured federal, state, and local resources in metro schools. Many schools in Denver are below 40 percent of the national average on CSAP scores, in all grades, in reading, math, and science. Disappointed parents must pony up money above their education taxes to provide quality alternatives for there children. No child left behind left Denver's children behind several stops ago.
Congresswoman DeGette has provided billions of Americas dollars for the war in Iraq. At the same time she voted to expand the countries eligible for debt relief. She has voted to increase "free trade" agreements that punish American workers. When there is no money to fund these programs she authorizes the government to deficit spend.
Diana DeGette's legacy to Denver over the last ten years has been burdensome immigration, declining education scores, and deficit spending on an endless war. Constituents need less of what Congresswoman DeGette is asking from them. They want less immigration, less war, less taxes. They crave solid economic policy, wise use of the military, border integrity, and a focus on the constitution. It is time Denver looked to someone else this coming this election.
