The Jolly Joeys are busy spreading smiles and laughter again. Did you know a "Joey" is another term for clown? Did you know there is a group of professional clowns known as "The Jolly Joey Clown Club of Aurora, Colorado"?
The purpose of the club is to promote the art of clowning, continue the education of its members and provide a setting for friendship and fun. While accomplishing this, they strive to help others find even a moment of joy in their lives.
All of the clowns have graduated from the Jolly Molly Clown School, which is sponsored by the club. Certification from another school is certainly acceptable for membership. The club has participated in local civic events, school functions, nursing home and assisted living community events. Some members have completed further training to become "Caring Clowns" who volunteer at a local hospital.
The Jolly Molly Clown School offers classes in Aurora twice a year. For further information about the club or the school call 303-696-2120. Classes start again on March 26, 2008 and another class later in the year.
