I am writing in desperation to seek the help of those that are more fortunate to have such bountiful lives. My daughter Christina was born with Severe Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy 11 years ago. She can not sit up, roll over, talk, walk or even hold up her own head. Ten years ago I was happily married with one healthy child today I am a single mother of two beautiful girls. Christina has out grown her mini van and now needs a full size van my income is very low- (child support and SSI for Christina) my mother and myself care for Christina 24 hours a day, she is G-tube fed through her stomach, diapered and repositioned every 2 hours. Her only means of the outside world is when she is taken to her appointments, outings with her sister, trips to the grocery store, shopping and church, which she adores.
I have applied to foundations for grants to help defray the costs of a medically handicapped van. But I know that even if all of them did approve a grant it will still not be enough. Many charities have turned me down (they are sorry but their policy's is not to help individuals), if anyone can do any fundraisers on Christina's behalf that would be a blessing!
Could you donate: catering? entertainment? services donated?auctions? raffles? banquet halls? your products, services, advise? (preprinted envelopes,napkins,cups,.... to Christinas Fund, dinner certificates , tickets, posters,banquet halls ....)
