I'm sure many of you on July 20th 2005, saw Terry Coleman on televison singing hymns. His objective was to bring awareness to the plight of the homeless and at the same time, set a world record. He accomplished setting a world record with the Book of Alternative Records and Records Republic. He was also mentioned in a Ripley's Believe or Not! cartoon. Terry sang by rotating 120 hymns which totaled 849 songs at the age of 54 from July 20 thru July 22, 2005.
Terry has written a book published by Xulon Press. Terry said that everyone remembers him for the event but he says, 'There is a bigger story behind the story'. His story is about God changing his troubled life as he explains in "Don't Give Up, Don't Give In. He hopes his testimony will help others, from gang bangers to alcoholics, change their lives.
Terry is donating 5% of his royalties to the National Coalition for the Homeless, Samaritan House, The Denver Rescue Mission, and Season to Share, which amounts to 20%. Terry's book is available at Barnes & Noble and other major book stores and Amazon.com.

I would like to rate this story 5 stars. I read this book and I would recommemd it to readers who face lifes problems. It took a lot of faith for a man of 54 to sing for 40 hours and 17 minuets. I travel a lot and never once have I came upon a person if this age accomplishing such a feat. And the fact that he is donating 20% of is royalties, proves to me this was an act to help mankind. I think this would be a good read for the people in Denver,CO and I hope that it will be posted in the Hub. There is not much good news in this world.People need hope in this world and I think this article and book provides this objective. I'm looking forward to reading this article in the Hub. May the Almighty God continue to bless Hub. Sincerely, Elder Td Jackson
