Denver Parks and Recreation honors Mongolia

Did you know that outside of Mongolia, Denver is home to the largest Mongolian population in the United States?

On May 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.the City and County of Denver will officially dedicate the City of Ulaanbaatar park to the country of Mongolia. The is Sister City park will be the home to a beautiful sculpture in the form of a Tulga, a symbol in the Mongolian culture which represents the home's warm spirit, with an expected completion date in fall of 2008.

The dedication ceremony will have the Honorable Mark Milton - Untited States Ambassador to Mongolia - as the keynote speaker. Please join for this fun-filled event surrounding the Mongolian culture.

Ulaanbaatar park is located on 5th and Roslyn at Lowry.
