The grill was hot and the music was silky at Whole Foods, 900 E. 11th Ave., in the Capitol Hill neighborhood July 17 during the store's West Coast barbecue event.

For $5, attendees received a grilled chicken breast, vegetable ratatouille, potato chips and iced tea. The event was accompanied by the soothing jazz sounds of the Greg Harris Vibe Quintet.

Whole Foods hosts similar food events the third Thursday of every month. In August, the food will have a Southwest theme.
