INDOOR SKYDIVING IS A HOT TICKET THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
The hottest holiday gift this year isn't a toy or a gadget - it's the experience of a lifetime. Indoor skydiving at SkyVenture Colorado, is the perfect present for virtually anyone, ages 3 to 103.
"Gift cards are flying off the shelf," SkyVenture Colorado Operator Bob Burke said. "As soon as people try it, they want to bring their family and friends back."
SkyVenture Colorado features a climate-controlled wind tunnel where guests can skydive without actually having to jump out of an airplane or use a parachute. People of all ages can learn how to fly. First time flyers go through a training session with the world's best instructors before gearing up and taking flight. Experts use SkyVenture Colorado to train and advance their skills. Regardless the level, it's a fun and exhilarating experience.
"It's one of the coolest things I've ever done," says first timer Erik Ginalick. "What a unique gift to give."
A basic flight ticket is $50 and includes training plus two minutes of flight. For every $50 gift card purchased, SkyVenture Colorado will donate $5 toward the gift of flight for a child of U.S. military personnel serving in the war.
SkyVenture Colorado is one of less than a dozen SkyVenture tunnels in the U.S. It opened in early 2006 and is the first U.S. wind tunnel where guests can skydive indoors day or night, in any kind of weather.
SkyVenture Colorado is located in the Lone Tree Entertainment District just south of Park Meadows Mall near shopping, restaurants, theaters and bowling. The indoor skydiving facility is open daily beginning at 9 a.m. Group rates and meeting space is available.
