One day a friend of mine had asked me to hang out with her at the Sevilla Night Club. That night I met my soulmate.
We started dating in early September 2002 and we felled in love because we share the same interests in life, like cinema, literature, we love to travel and specially because we believe that the family is the key to change this world into a better place.
We united our hearts, our lives and our cultures through marriage on July the Fifteenth, 2005. It was a civil ceremony and we have a small reception, but we have lots of fun, sharing our happiness with family and friends.
I come from a Hispanic family and he is an African-American, everyday we learn something about our cultures that give an special taste to our relationship.
We have been through all the ups and downs of what a couples go through. But we still together with love, faith and sharing our dreams. Also God has given us the greatest gift we could ever receive....our son.
It's great to go out together, but when it's not date night and we're home with the baby, we like to snuggle and watch TV after we put him to bed. We spend time together talking, cuddling, and just being affectionate toward one another. I know it's not a lot of time, but it's enough to keep the spark in our marriage.
I never would have guessed that the charming man that invited me to dance salsa and merengue that magical night, would turn out to be my husband, my best friend. Now we believe in fate.
