How I found true love on the internet
Contributed by: Michelle Warren on 2/14/2007

It was December of 2003 and like millions of people I was pondering what my New Years resolution would be. It was notvery original, but greatly needed so I joined Balance Fitness. The first week that I was in there I noticed thisreally good lookingguy. He was quite shy and barely talked (unless talked to) but when he did hehad this southern accent that would make any girls heart melt. But as luck would have it...he was married. Fast forward toSeptember 2005. I had recently turned 30 and had hadankle surgery that left me ina cast and on crutches totally unable to do anything. I was single and waswanting to meet that special someone but had no idea how I was going to do it when I was basically confined to my house. After a lot ofcontemplating I joined match.com.It had only been about two weeks when I got this email that caught my eye. As I read the email I found myself getting more and more interested then I got to the part wherethe guyclaimed to be "a little bit country". What the heck is a "little bit country" I wrote back, praying he meant he lived in the country or was from the south. When the "you have mail" message flashed and I saw it was from "a little bit country" I did not know if I should be scared or relieved. So with my fingers crossed I opened the email. It started with I am not a real cowboy or a redneck, I am from a small town in Oklahoma where family iseverything. Whoo hoo....I was hooked. It only took 3 more emails and then we decided to save our fingers and talk on the phone. That first conversation was hours, and the whole time I felt like I had known this man my whole life. When I hung up I felt like a teenager again complete with butterflies in my stomach and that almost sick like anticipation of when is he going to call again. My fears were quickly answered and he called again later that night. Unfortunately he was going to Oklahoma the next day to visit his family so I was bummed thinking I would have to wait 4 days to talk to him again.Thankfully he felt like I did and we talked that weekend and made plans to meetthe night afterhe got back. The day that we were going to meet it snowed like crazy. I was afraid that we would have to cancel but he was polite and offered to pick me up. When the doorbell rang I held my breath as I opened the door. As the door opened and the light hit his facewe both said, in unison, I know you!!!. My luckhad changed, that hot guy, at the gym that oozed southern charm was now single and standing at my door. Our first date, which was just supposed to be dinner, lasted until the next day. We talked the night away, just like old friends. I knew that day he was the man for me.The only question in my mind was how were his children going toaccept me and would I be able to accept them? That fear was squashed... we hit it off.We were inseperable. We spent the next eight months getting to really know each other. Then on June 15, 2006 he proposed. Without a second thought I accepted. On October 6, 2006 we were married. Just like our relationship, our wedding day was perfect. Just like the song says, I saved the best for last....I love you honey!!!
