60 wonderful years and still counting
On 7/28/2008

The original wedding announcement in The Denver Post read:

"At a lovely ceremony Wednesday evening, July 28, in Carroll Memorial Church. Miss Barbara Graham, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Edward Graham, became the bride of John A. Hoekstra. The Reverend Archie Yetter performed the ceremony. The bride wore a white satin gown with a shoulder length veil attached to a coronet. She carried a white rose corsage on a white Bible. The bride is a graduate of South High School. The bridegroom is a graduate of Englewood High School and recently served with the Armed Forces. After a brief honeymoon the couple will make their home in Denver. "

That's the way it began 60 years ago and they still make their home in the Denver area. Along the way they had three children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. They are hoping for many more great-grandchildren.

They are very supportive of all of our Denver sports teams. They are hoping for many more national championships.

What a wonderful accomplishment to be together and happy after 60 years of marriage.

Their family and friends wish them well and many more to come!
