How was Devotchka? Top Notchka! (sorry)

It was one of those nights where all the stars aligned and everything just worked out. About three hundred local scenesters came out to get a first taste of Denver's own world-folk-pop phenomenon's new album Mad and Faithful Telling. The crowd - heavy on members of other Denver bands - was not disappointed as Devotchka debuted a number of excellent new songs.

The music was hypnotic, the vibe was heavenly (thanks to the generosity of the Insatiable Wine Company who donated 5 cases of their finest for band and crowd) and the audience roared its approval. We sold 291copies of the new CD and it really felt great having one of our all-time favorite local bands launching the next phase of their career at our humble digs. A great night for all!
