Rockies Moonlight For Volunteers of America

Colorado Rockies Brian Fuentes and Ryan Spilborghs were found moonlighting for a different team on Monday, May 5th. The two ballplayers have signed on to a Volunteers of America "Action Team". Action Teams are a partnership between the Major League Baseball Players Trust and Volunteers of America and are comprised of young people across America and Major League Baseball players. Each team serves their community with volunteer activities within VOA's human service programs.

Fuentes and Spilborghs joined several high school Action Teams on Monday at Volunteers of America's Irving Street Women's Residence. Denver's newest housing facility for homeless women received plenty of "t.l.c." with an impressive landscaping project. The yard surrounding 601 S. Irving has been transformed and will open its doors to its newest residence in the coming weeks. To find out more about Volunteers of America and its Action teams, visit www.voacolorado.org
