Since the
Trip to Work program was launched in January of 2008, thousands of South Metro Denver daily commuters have taken advantage of discounted monthly transit passes.
Aside from saving up to 50% of regular RTD pass costs, plus the cost of gas, TRIP (
Tran
sit Rider Incentive Program) commuters are relieved of all frustration typically experienced when driving the Southeast Urban Corridor during rush hour traffic.
With the conception of this program, the TMA, including local governments and Denver's South Metro business community, has partnered with RTD to promote routine use of public transportation, thereby reducing vehicle emissions and traffic congestion. At a time when environmental awareness is not enough anymore, Trip to Work offers a reasonable plan of action for all business commuters.
Passes give riders access to RTD buses, light rail, and call-n-ride, and are sold according to zones in which each rider lives and works. Passes are available at
www.triptowork.com, and must be purchased by the 20th of each month, previous to the month of intended use.
