Aurora Police are releasing four surveillance photos of the individual believed to be responsible for shooting a 7-Eleven store employee on Dec. 10.The suspec is described as a tall White, or possibly Hispanic male with a thin build.
Police are looking at the possibility that a car, captured by a surveillance camera as it drove past the front of the store, may be related. The car is possibly a late 1980's or early 1990's Honda Accord.
Detectives from the Aurora Police Department's Major Crime Unit are searchin for a suspect who shot a 7-Eleven store clerk during the early morning hours of Sunday, December 10, 2006.
Shortly after 3 a.m., a witness called 911 to report that a female clerk at the convenience store, located at the corner of Havana Street and East Sixth Avenue, was lying on the floor and appeared to be severely injured.
Within four minutes of the initial 911 call, officers arrived at the scene and found a female victim suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. She was immediately transported to a local hospital by ambulance.Despite the heroic efforts of medical personnel, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Detectives from MCU, who are tasked with investigating homicides, were called to the scene and began their investigation.
Preliminary information indicates that the suspect entered the store, had brief contact with the sole employee and then shot her before fleeing on foot.
Police are looking into several possible motives for the shooting, including robbery.
At this time, the suspect is described as an adult white male.
Detectives are actively pursuing several leads in this case in an effort to further identify the suspect.
