Police blotter: Three arrested in drug sting

THREE ARRESTED IN DRUG STING
Police arrested three suspects on suspicion of possession and sale of methamphetamine April 8 at Ninth Avenue and Knox Court. Police said they received information a 42-year-old Denver woman was going to deliver the drug to a 21-year-old Lakewood woman, and witnessed a drug sale while the two suspects were in the Lakewood woman's car.
A quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana and pipes were recovered. A third suspect, identified as a 37-year-old Denver man was also arrested, but his role in the drug sale was not clear.

AUDI BREAK-IN REPORTED
An Aurora woman reported the break-in of her 2006 Audi A-4 parked at Rose Medical Center, 4567 E. Ninth Ave., on April 15. Between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., someone broke a window and stole laptop computer, jewelry a digital camera, a purse and $200 cash. The total loss was estimated at $2,500.

GOLF CLUBS STOLEN FROM CAR IN GARAGE
A resident of the 1300 block of Williams Street reported his 1999 Pontiac GrandAm was broken into in his garage April 13. Between 10 p.m. April 11 and 7:30 a.m. April 13, someone broke a driver's side window and stole two sets of golf clubs and a golf bag, valued at a total of $1,350.

JACKET COULDN'T HIDE LOOT FROM THIEF
A Bow Mar woman reported the break-in of her 2005 Toyota Prius parked at 14 th and Larimer streets April 9. Between 7 and 10 p.m., someone broke a passenger side window and stole an iPod, laptop computer and case, headphones and $2,600 in cash left under a jacket in the back seat. The total loss was estimated at $6,700.

WOMAN SAYS CAR BREAK-IN IS ON TAPE
A Denver woman reported her 2002 Nissan Maxima was broken into April 7 parked on the 100 block of South Broadway. The woman told police she has surveillance tape of the incident, which occurred between 4 and 4:30 a.m. A tool box and tools, a hockey jersey and $40 cash was stolen. The total loss and damage was estimated at $1,573.

MUSICIAN CRIES THE BLUES OVER STOLEN GUITAR
A musician reported he forgot to lock his Honda Civic after a gig April 14 at the Carioca Café, 2060 Champa St., admitting he'd had too much to drink. As a result, someone stole a Gibson Les Paul studio guitar from the vehicle between midnight and 1 p.m. Two amplifiers and two other guitars were not stolen, but the owner told police, "It's embarrassing that I didn't lock my car, but I still feel like I am missing an arm," according to the report. "I broke my leg playing it back in 2005 at the Climax Lounge on Welton," he added. The guitar was valued at $800.

SPORTS GEAR STOLEN IN BREAK-IN
A resident of the 2200 block of Quitman Street reported the break-in of his 2007 Toyota Yaris on April 16. Between 1 and 5 a.m., someone stole a car stereo, XM radio, an iPod, golf clubs and bag, fly fishing rods and reels, a pair of sunglasses and shoes, valued at a total of $6,395.
