Police blotter: Purse stolen during fundraiser

PURSE STOLEN FROM DESK
An Aurora woman reported the theft of her purse from under her desk in an office building on the 2000 block of Franklin St. on May 6. The woman told police the purse and wallet was stolen sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. when she returned from lunch. The wallet contained $240 cash, gift cards and credit cards. The total loss was estimated at $360.

TOOLS STOLEN FROM NISSAN
A Denver man reported the break-in of his 1993 Nissan SUV parked on the 1300 block of High Street on May 7. Between 8 p.m. May 6 and 8 a.m. May 7, someone stole tools, an anti-auto theft device, $10 cash, a portable CD player and 96 CDs in a case. The loss was estimated at $1,714.

STEREO STOLEN FROM SUV
A resident of the 600 block of Elati Street reported the break-in of a 1990 Toyota SUV May 5. The owner said between 10 p.m. May 4 and 5 a.m. May 5, someone broke out a driver-side window and stole a stereo valued at $200. There was no immediate estimate of damage.

BACKPACK, LAPTOP STOLEN
A Saratoga Springs, Utah man reported the theft of a backpack containing a laptop computer, GPS system, bank checks, sunglasses, a day planner and pens from his car parked in a garage at 19th and Wynkoop streets May 6. There was no sign of forced entry, and the total loss was estimated at $2,285.

SUNGLASSES STOLEN
A resident of the 2100 block of Delgany Street reported the break-in of his 2005 Dodge Neon while parked near 17th and Wewatta streets May 7. Between 8 a.m. May 6 and 6:30 a.m. May 7, someone smashed a passenger-side window with a rock and stole a pair of $275 sunglasses. There was no immediate estimate of damage.

DASH DAMAGED TO STEAL STEREO
An Arvada woman reported the break-in of her 1999 Honda Civic parked at the intersection of West 12th Avenue and Acoma Street on May 7. Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. someone got into the car and stole a built-in CD player and radio and $10 in cash. There was significant damage to the dashboard, according to the report. The stolen items were valued at $235.

PURSE STOLEN DURING FUNDRAISER
A Denver woman reported the theft of her purse from St. Anne's Episcopal School, 2701 S. York St., on May 4. The woman told police her purse was placed with other purses on a table during a fundraising event at the school when it was stolen between 11 and 11:30a.m. The purse contained $27 in cash, a cell phone and sunglasses. The loss was estimated at $1,077.

IPOD STOLEN IN AUDIO BREAK-IN
A Loveland resident reported the break-in of a 2001 Audi A-4 parked on the 600 block of West 11th Avenue on May 4. Between 7:30 p.m. May 3 and 12:30 p.m. May 4, someone broke a passenger side window with a large rock and stole an iPod valued at $200. There was no immediate estimate of damage.
