Police blotter: Road rage follows wreck

ROAD RAGE FOLLOWS WRECK

A Denver woman in her mid-20s was struck in an act of apparent road rage at 9 p.m. Oct. 31, according to police reports. Police say the woman and suspect, a male in his 20s, were in an auto accident near the 1100 block of West Sixth Avenue. When the woman stepped out of her car to observe the damage, the suspect reportedly hit her with his vehicle, a 2002 silver Toyota Tacoma, and continued eastbound on Sixth Avenue. The woman, who suffered minor injuries, was able to tell police the truck's license plate number.

BURGLAR CAUGHT IN ACT

Police arrested a 40-year-old Denver man on suspicion of breaking into a home on the 3500 block of Fairfax Street, according to reports. Police said the man was spotted using a crowbar in an attempt to pry open a door between the garage and attached shed at about 11:10 p.m. Nov. 6.

ROBBERY AT GUNPOINT

An unknown suspect in his 20s robbed a Circle K store at 1600 S. Colorado Blvd. at about 12:50 a.m. Nov. 6, according to police reports. Police say the suspect pointed a revolver at the clerk and demanded money and cigarettes. After the clerk met the demands, the suspect reportedly fled northeast on foot.

CARJACKERS SHOOT OUT GLASS

A pair of would-be carjackers left empty-handed, but not before holding an 18-year-old Denver woman at gunpoint Nov. 5, according to police reports. Police say the woman had got in her vehicle, which was parked on the 700 block of South Shoshone Street, when the two unknown suspects approached the driver's side and banged on the window and then shot out the glass. One of the suspects reportedly put a gun to the woman's head and demanded the keys to the vehicle. The woman reportedly told the two the keys had fallen to the ground. The pair looked around the vehicle for keys before giving up and fleeing on foot. Police said the woman suffered minor injuries in the altercation.

TRAFFIC STOP NABS METH DEALER, MORE

Police pulled over a vehicle near East 12th Avenue and Wabash Street at about 12:43 a.m. Oct. 31 after the driver made an illegal turn, according to police reports. When a background check of the vehicle revealed it was stolen, police searched the vehicle and arrested the three occupants. A 43-year-old Denver woman was arrested on suspicion of selling methamphetamine when the search revealed a large amount of the drug, paraphernalia and a box with more than $1,500 in cash. A 20-year-old Aurora woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and a 45-year-old Aurora man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular theft.
