Man gets stabbed during argument
At 3:57 a.m. Aug. 3, police responded to the 1300 block of Fillmore Street on an assault report. Upon arrival, police learned a 24-year-old Aurora man got into a verbal argument with a 30-year-old man. A witness said the argument then turned physical and the 24-year-old stabbed the 30-year-old with an unknown object. The 24-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated assault.

Burglar(s) sneak in through unlocked door
At 1:32 p.m. Aug. 4, police responded to a residence on the 2200 block of South Ogden Street on a burglary report. Upon arrival, police spoke with the owners who said between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. that day, an unknown suspect(s) had entered an unlock back door and took items from the house. The home's alarm system also was deactivated at the time. An employee of the residence who was working in the garage at the time didn't see anyone enter or leave the house.
