Woman's breast pump stolen
On Aug. 24 at 9:15 p.m., police responded to Denver Health, 190 W. Sixth Ave., on a theft report. Police spoke with two women, 31 and 22, who parked their vehicles two spaces away from each other in the hospital's parking lot. Both vehicles had their windows broken and items stolen, including a breast pump, purse and CDs. Total estimated value of items is $6,550. Security surveillance showed a suspect(s) fleeing in a red Lexus SUV.
Dem's office windows broken
On Aug. 25 at 3:13 a.m., police responded to the Colorado Democratic Party office, 777 Santa Fe Drive, on a criminal mischief report. Police said two suspects broke 11 windows of the office and fled on bicycles. They were later apprehended a half-block away. Estimated cost of the damage is $11,000.
Parking lot fight ends in gunfire
On Aug. 22 at 5:14 a.m., police responded to the 1700 block of West 48th Avenue on a report of aggravated assault. Police spoke with 23-year-old man who said during a fight in a parking lot, a gun was fired by an unknown party and he was hit in the leg. The party then fled in an unknown direction.
Woman's car damaged
On Aug. 21 at 9 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of Pearl Street on a theft report. Police spoke with a 24-year-old woman who said sometime between 6 p.m. Aug. 20 and 9 a.m. Aug. 21, unknown suspects broke the passenger side window of her vehicle and stole several items.
Purse snatched outside phone store
On Aug. 25 at 10:25 a.m., police responded to a Cricket phone store at 1050 W. Colfax Ave., on a robbery report. Police spoke with a 35-year-old woman who said as she left the store at 10:10 a.m., a man pushed her and took her purse. He then ran south on Lipan Street. No witnesses were in the area.
Open window lets burglars in
On Aug. 25 at 9:50 p.m., police responded to the 3300 block of Raleigh Street on a burglary report. Police spoke with a 37-year-old man who said sometime between noon and 4:15 p.m. Aug. 24, unknown suspects entered his residence through an open window in the kitchen.
Handtools stolen
On Aug. 26 at 5:01 p.m., police responded to the 1300 block of West Custer Place on a burglary report. Police said sometime between 7 p.m. Aug. 25 and 4 p.m. Aug. 26, unknown suspects forced open a rear door of a house and took handtools from the living room.
Craigslist interaction leads to threats
On Aug. 26 at 9:10 p.m., police responded to the 900 block of Knox Court on a threat report. Police spoke with a 36-year-old man who said he conducted business with a man through Craigslist. At 7:55 p.m., the man said the suspect called and threatened him, claiming the 36-year-old was friends with gang members.
