"Trick or Treat on Mainstreet" was a "scary" success. An estimated 4000 goblins descended on Mainstreet, Parker last Saturday day night and gobbled up a haunted houseful of candy. In it's fourth year, The Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club of Parker's event has almost doubled in attendance each year from 50 spooks in 2006 to the large happy crowd that showed up on Halloween Night. Event coordinator, founder of the event and President of the CCV Rotary, Emily Strunk, was pleased and said, "We hope to continue and grow the event". "We conceived this event in order to provide a safe, affordable, fun environment for families to bring their kids", she continued. This is one of our most fun community service projects throughout the year and we are proud to offer local families, regardless of their finances, some excitement and safe Trick or Treating each Halloween", she continued.
This year Trick or Treat on Mainstreet included not only the traditional bounce houses, but a batting cage, electronic basketball, horse drawn hay rides, balloons and other attractions all at no cost. We are hoping to increase the business sponsorship and participation in years to come but this year we received donations to help with the event from , Extreme Auto, Mike Waid & Assoc, Benefits Administrators & Consultants, The Tailgate, Mainstreet Flower Shop, and Nomilie Cupcakes. Ms. Strunk is the owner of Benefits Administrators & Consultants.
