Give an Abused or Neglected Child a Voice in Court
Contributed by: Kirsten Malm on 9/12/2007

Child Advocates- Denver CASA seeks committed volunteers who want to make a real difference in the lives of abused and neglected children. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) stand up for abused and neglected children, helping them thrive and find safe permanent homes. CASAs are appointed to a Dependency and Neglect case by a Judge or Magistrate to obtain unbiased information for the court and act as an advocate for the child's best interest.
Volunteers are citizens who go through 40 hours of training and are then sworn in as officers of the court. The next training starts October 2, 2007.
