World No Tobacco Day: Tobacco-free children
Contributed by: Mark Costello on 5/10/2008

May 31st is World No Tobacco Day sponsored by the World Health Organization. This yearly celebration helps inform

the public on the dangers of using tobacco, and what people around the world can do to claim their right to health and to protect future generations.

The focus of World No Tobacco Day 2008 is to highlight the use of advertising and promotions to children worldwide. The Member States of the World Health Organization created World No Tobacco Day to draw global attention to the tobacco epidemic and the preventable death and disease it causes, especially in children
