Give a teen family great Thanksgiving and winter holidays!

Help a a teen family this holiday season!.

Teen parents struggle to make ends meet every day of the year, but Thanksgiving and the winter holidays provide even greater challenges. When almost 9 out of 10 of the pregnant and parenting teens Parent Pathways serves live below the federal poverty level, where does the money come from to prepare a Thanksgiving meal? Where does a teen mom find cash for a toy train from Santa?

You have the power to make the holidays a time of joy and abundance for the 175 young women who attend the Florence Crittenton School for pregnant and parenting teens, the 127 teen dads served by Parent Pathways' Young Fathers Program, and their children.

We invite you to participate in Parent Pathways' 2009 Holiday Helping Hands Projects! Gather together co-workers, people at your place of worship, family members, club members or friends and make a difference this holiday season.

Here are some ideas:

Thanksgiving Baskets
Provide a young family with all the ingredients they need for a bountiful Thanksgiving meal.

Sponsor-a-Family
Provide a holiday meal and gifts for each member of a struggling teen mom's family.

Giving Tree

Give holiday gifts for the children of the teen parents Parent Pathways serves.

Please go to the Parent Pathways website, www.parentpathways.org, to sign up for one of our Holiday Helping Hands Projects. It will mean so much to our teen families! Dure to the great need this year, the deadline to make a commitment
has been extended to Nov. 20.
