Since early September, a unique group of volunteers has been gathering twice a week at the Mt. Evans Hospice & Home Health Care offices-volunteers referred to as "The Angel-Makers." They have been working on a very special project-the 2009 Mt. Evans Angel-that just might solve your holiday gift-giving dilemmas.
The 2009 Mt. Evans Angel, standing nearly a foot tall, is a whimsical folk-art piece designed by local artist Nina Sampsel. As a keepsake, this angel offers a charming way to honor your loved ones, friends and neighbors. As a memento, the angels serve as a visible, year-round reminder of the people who have touched our lives.
Each angel comes with a recognition card and is packaged in a gift box. The name of your special person-whether in memory or recognition of-will appear in the Book of Angels. This book accompanies the Tree of Angels, beautifully decorated with the keepsakes, which will be on display throughout the month of December at the Mt. Evans offices (3081 Bergen Peak Dr., Evergreen). The Book of Angels can also be found online at the Mt. Evans website, www.mtevans.org. For more information about purchasing one of these wonderful angels, visit the website or call 303-674-6400.
