Eighth Annual Kidney Walk: "Kidneys & K-9's"

Over 200 people braved the cold weather to support the Eighth Annual Kidney Walk, entitled "Kidneys & K-9's" on October 11 at Washington Park.

Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the one to two-mile, non-competitive walk raised funds and awareness of kidney and urinary tract diseases and the need for organ donation. Participants had the option to walk up to two miles and bring their dogs.

Judy Norman, Executive Director of the National Kidney Foundation of Colorado, Montana and Wyoming said, "Without this fundraising event, the NKF would not be able to offer the range of services and support made available to those at risk for kidney disease, patients and their families."

The National Kidney Foundation of Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming is dedicated to preventing kidney and urinary tract disease, improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increasing the availability of all organs for transplantation.
